Res Publica

I'm finding it hard to think of any good reasons why a democratic society in the 21st century should maintain a monarchy largely designed for the 10th century.

    We tried doing without, but got Cromwell instead. After that no-one could be bothered, basically.

    It wouldn't be too much to ask them to pay their taxes though, it it?
